The full story

Which cloud did you think was growing fastest?

Jul–Sep 2026 sales vs a year earlier: AWS: $33.0B → $46.0B (+39%). Still the biggest, and its fastest growth since 2021. Microsoft Azure: $22.4B → $33.2B (+48%). Google Cloud: $15.2B → $30.7B (+103%). Oracle Cloud: $3.3B → $7.4B (+121%). Smallest, fastest. Its quarter ends in August.

Google Cloud's profit grew even faster: $3.6B → $11.1B operating income.

The catch: these are not identical measures. Google Cloud includes Workspace (Gmail and Docs for businesses). Microsoft's figure is Azure alone. So this is not a market-share ranking.

Why it matters: Google says the jump came from demand for AI computing. This is where AI spending turns into sales.
