Partly Toyota
You can pick a Subaru, a Mazda or a Suzuki instead of a Toyota. Toyota owns a piece of all three.
Four car brands, four different badges. One owner shows up in three of them 👇
From each company's own list of its biggest shareholders, 31 March 2026: • Subaru: Toyota holds 21.46%, its biggest shareholder • Mazda: Toyota holds 5.1% • Suzuki: Toyota holds 5.0%
These are stakes, not takeovers. Toyota doesn't run these companies, but the stakes come with work together on engines, electric cars and safety software.
Caveat: the share lists are as of 31 March and change slowly. A 5% stake is a partner's seat at the table, not control.
Why it matters: owning Toyota stock gives you a small piece of three rivals, and their results reach Toyota's books.
